Refund Policy
1. One-Time Project Deposits
The initial deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced. Work is considered commenced once Wampdo has held an initial project/kickoff meeting, begun discovery, or started any design or development work (including UI/UX concepts, wireframes, or research), regardless of whether a final deliverable has been shared with the client.
All upfront deposits are subject to a non-refundable credit card processing fee if canceled by the client.
2. Before Work Begins
If cancelled before any work has started, the deposit is refundable minus a $50 administrative fee.
3. Mid-Project Cancellation
Wampdo will invoice for work completed to date on a pro-rate basis. Amounts paid beyond the value of completed work are refunded; shortfalls are invoiced and due before files are released.
4. Completed Projects
No refund once a project is delivered, approved, and paid in full.
5. Digital Marketing & AI Services (Recurring/Retainer)
Social media marketing and paid advertising campaigns are paid 100% in advance and are non-refundable once a campaign has been launched, as funds are committed to third-party ad platforms upfront. Fees already spent on ad platforms or third-party AI/automation tooling on client's behalf are non-refundable.
Unused portions of a prepaid management fee for a cancelled future period may be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
6. Managed Web Services (Hosting/Maintenance)
Prepaid annual hosting/maintenance fees are non-refundable once the service period has begun, but future renewal billing will be stopped upon cancellation.
7. Dissatisfaction With Deliverables
Notify us in writing within 30 days of delivery. We'll make reasonable efforts to correct the issue at no additional cost if the deliverable does not match the agreed scope, brief, or specifications. Subjective dissatisfaction with a completed and fully delivered project (e.g. not liking the style, design choices, or creative direction) where the work matches the agreed scope and brief is not grounds for a refund — revisions within the agreed scope will be provided instead. No refund is issued once a project has been delivered in full, approved, and paid for.
8. Third-Party Costs
Costs already paid to third parties (domains, premium plugins, stock assets, ad spend, hosting) are non-refundable.
9. Statutory Rights (EU, UK, UAE Clients)
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any statutory refund or cancellation rights you hold under applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence, including the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or EU consumer protection directives, where such rights cannot be waived by contract.
10. Refund Processing Timeline
Once a refund is approved under this policy, Wampdo will issue the refund within 5 business days of written approval (i.e. once you and the client have agreed on the amount, or a dispute under Section 7 has been resolved), processed through the same payment method originally used wherever technically possible. Wampdo's issuance is not the same as the client seeing the funds — banks and card networks add their own time on top; see Section 11 below.
11. Refund Method & Processor-Specific Timing
Refunds are returned via the original payment method used for the transaction:
- Card payments: Refunded to the original card, minus the non-refundable payment processing fee (typically ~2.9% + $0.30) charged on the original transaction, which is not returned to Wampdo by the payment processor and is therefore deducted from the refund amount. Funds typically appear on the client's statement within 5–10 business days, depending on the card-issuing bank.
- Bank transfer / ACH payments: Refunded to the original sending account, minus any non-refundable transfer or processing fee incurred on the original payment. Cross-border or ACH transfers can take 3–7 business days to settle, depending on the receiving bank and currency corridor.
Wampdo is not responsible for delays caused by the client's bank, card issuer, or currency conversion once the refund has been issued on our end.
12. Chargeback & Dispute Resolution
By engaging Wampdo's services and submitting payment, the client agrees to contact Wampdo directly at info@wampdo.com to resolve any billing dispute or dissatisfaction before initiating a chargeback with their bank or card issuer. Filing a chargeback without first attempting resolution under Section 7 (Dissatisfaction With Deliverables) or this section is considered a breach of this agreement.
In the event of a chargeback:
- Wampdo reserves the right to contest the chargeback using all available evidence, including this agreement, project communications, delivered work, and payment records.
- Any client who files a chargeback for work legitimately delivered, or without first contacting Wampdo as outlined above, forfeits eligibility for future services and any pending or partial refunds otherwise owed under this policy.
- A chargeback filed after a refund has already been issued for the same transaction may be treated as fraudulent and reported to the payment processor accordingly.
Cancellation Policy
1. One-Time Projects
Cancel at any point with written notice to info@wampdo.com.
For more details check our Refund Policy for how payment is handled based on project stage.
2. Recurring Services
Cancel with 14 days' written notice before the next billing cycle. No refund for the current billing period is already in progress.
3. Domain & Hosting Renewals
Billed in advance annually. Cancelling before renewal stops future billing but doesn't refund the current active term.
4. Ad Campaigns (Digital Marketing)
Active ad campaigns require 5 business days' notice to pause/cancel, allowing time to properly wind down spend.
5. Wampdo-Initiated Cancellation
We reserve the right to pause or cancel a project if client fails to provide necessary materials, feedback, access, or payment for 30+ days, or engages in abusive conduct toward our team. Fees for completed work remain payable.
6. How to Cancel
Email info@wampdo.com with your project or invoice number.
7. Notice Periods (Tightened)
Cancellation of an active one-time project requires a minimum of 3 business days' written notice, allowing Wampdo to pause work in an orderly manner and finalize billing for work completed to date. Recurring service cancellations require the existing 14 days' notice (Section 2); ad campaign cancellations require the existing 5 business days' notice (Section 4).
8. Access & File Handling on Cancellation
Upon cancellation, access to project files, source code, hosting environments, and third-party accounts managed by Wampdo will be suspended until any outstanding invoice for work completed to date is paid in full. Final files and access credentials are released only after full payment is received.
9. Effect on Ownership & Deliverables
Ownership of, and license to use, any work product (logos, UI/UX designs, graphics, or website code) transfers to the client only upon full payment for that specific portion of work. On cancellation, Wampdo will deliver all files, designs, and code corresponding to work that has been invoiced and paid in full. Any in-progress or unbilled work not yet paid for is retained by Wampdo and is not released to the client until payment for that portion is received.
10. Chargebacks on Cancelled Projects
Cancellation does not exempt the client from Section 12 (Chargeback & Dispute Resolution) of the Refund Policy. A client who cancels and disputes a payment for work legitimately completed prior to cancellation is subject to the same chargeback terms.
11. Domain, Hosting & Data Ownership
Domains and hosting purchased on the client's behalf remain the client's property at all times. Upon cancellation or a client's request to move to another provider, once any outstanding invoice for work completed to date is settled (per Section 8), Wampdo will provide:
- Domain registrar login credentials or transfer authorization (EPP/auth code)
- Hosting account login credentials, or a full site export if hosting is on a Wampdo-managed server
- Complete website files
- A full database export/backup
This ensures the client can migrate to another host or developer without data loss.
